JRL was sent this breaking news story directly from the head offices of Titan Media/Io Group Distribution. Titan Media has filed a Lawsuit against “Q-Video” store, located at 1415 California St in Houston, TX.

"We had reports of them alledgedly pirating and making illegal copies of our DVDs for rental in their store. Allegedly after an extensive investigation, including the work of private investigators, we found that they were indeed renting pirated versions of our films." Keith Webb, Vice President of Io Group told JRL.

According to the Titan Media investigation, they allegedly offered their customers a 3-ring binder with our DVD covers inside to choose from. When the customer found a title they wanted, the clerk would pull out a shoe box from under the counter and retrieve a hand-made versions of Titan Media, TitanMen Fresh, Manplay DVD's for rental.

Webb continued to tell JRL.,"We were able to document trapped rentals of 17 of our titles in this investigation. We will be seeking willful damages of $150,000 per title as the store knew the films were copyright protected. The pirated copies they made included our copyright statement and screens on them!".
