TITAN TO RELEASE DIRECTOR'S HARDCORE EDITS EXCLUSIVELY ON BLU-RAY™

We received this hot news item over the presses yesterday from our dear friends at Titan Media / Io Group Distribution.
Effective immediately, Titan Media, parent company of gay mega-brands TitanMen, ManPlay, MSR Video and TitanMen Fresh, is pleased to announce that “Director’s Hardcore” versions of its films will be released only on Blu-ray™ high definition discs going forward. “Retail” versions of all films will continue to be released on DVD.
Titan Media is well known for editing and creating multiple versions of its films to meet the demands of both the marketplace and the consumer. The traditional “Retail” edit does not contain any fetish or hardcore content and is geared primarily towards USA wholesale store accounts that prefer a less edgy version.

The “Director’s Hardcore” versions of its films contain fully expanded scenes with hardcore fetish sequences including fisting, watersports, BDSM and more extreme fetish content. “Director’s Hardcore” versions will also continue to be available in digital format exclusively online at www.TitanMen.com and www.TitanXXX.com.
“As the leading, and virtually only, producer of high-end gay adult films on Blu-ray, our customers are telling us they want our harder-edged content in mind blowing high definition,” says Keith Webb, Vice President of Titan Media.

“We will continue to release all of our films on standard definition DVDs, but our more edgy and hardcore TitanMen content will only be released on Blu-ray high definition discs in the future.
Existing “Director’s Hardcore Edit” films on DVD will not be reproduced when existing stock sells out, so if you want Director’s Hardcore on DVD buy ’em now before they are gone!”
Released in March 2008, Bruce Cam’s opus Breakers [2008] was the world’s first gay adult film on Blu-ray, and winner of the 2008 GAYVN award for Best HD Production.
Currently 13 TitanMen films are available on Blu-ray, with one new Blu-ray title released per month.
All TitanMen films on Blu-ray give the viewer the option of watching the Retail or the Director’s Hardcore Edit via seamless branching technology.
The user controls the action and decides what they want to watch. This is the same technology used by mainstream Hollywood studios to offer different edit versions of their films on Blu-ray.

Barely two years into its product lifecycle, Blu-ray already has an installed userbase of over 10 million USA households, more than double the penetration of DVD players at the same point in their lifecycle (Zogby - 01/03/2009).
A recent online poll of TitanMen.com customers showed that almost 1/3 of respondents currently owned a Blu-ray player, and another 1/3 planned to purchase a Blu-ray player within the next year.
Blu-ray high definition is clearly a winner in the high-end gay market; with an adoption rate nearly three times that of the general public.
