This came over the wire from the our dear friend and Director of Promotion for Falcon Entertainment Troy Pricket, confirmed to JRL that Falcon Entertainment has signed Steve Cruz and Leif Gobo to direct for the Mustang Studios label.
Production on the team’s debut film "Blue Movie" [2008], is a homage to porn flicks of the 70’s and early 80’s is set to film in late September. The film will be anchored by industry superstars Zak Spears, Dillon Buck, Nick Piston and CJ Madison. They will be joined by industry favorites Nick Moretti, Scott Campbell and newcomers Colton Steele and Adam Herst.
Cruz & Gobo bring a combined total of 15 years experience to "Blue Movie". Cruz’ many accolades include Raging Stallion’s 2008 Man of The Year, a 2008 Grabby Award for Best Newcomer, a Gayvn Award, and two Hard Choice Awards (Best Newcomer and Performer of The Year).

In addition to starring in over 15 best selling gay adult films since his debut in 2006 he also wrote the screenplay, cast and starred in Raging Stallions, "Hotter Than Hell - Parts 1 & 2" [2008]. Chris Ward of Raging Stallion commented, "We at Raging Stallion are very excited about Steve Cruz directing for Mustang Studios. He showed his talent as a writer and behind-the-scenes coordinator on 'Hotter Than Hell' and I expect him to have a very successful career as he moves from in front of the camera to behind it.
Personally, I really look forward to seeing his films – he is one of my favorite persons in the industry." Cruz added, "I've had the rare opportunity of working with some of the best creative minds in the industry. Because of the generosity of Raging Stallion Studios, Chi Chi LaRue and Titan's Brian Mills. I have learned how a production is built from the ground up.
As a performer I always try to bring something extra to the screen, so I am very excited about the chance to do the same behind the scenes as a Director for Falcon Entertainment's Mustang label."

Gobo's 12 years of industry experience include just about every aspect of film production including lighting, camera, editing, directing and occasionally performing. Gobo began his career under the direction of Steven Scarborough at Hot House Entertainment. Then moved on to serve as Director of Videography at Raging Stallion and since 2006 has served as Falcon Entertainment's Director of Videography. Gobo's first directing credit with Falcon Entertainment (www.falconstudios.com) was the 2007 Mustang film, "Limits", where he met Steve Cruz, one of his cast members.
Gobo commented, "When I met Steve on the set of 'Limits' I knew he was destined to become a gay porn luminary. I have enjoyed watching his growth in the industry and I am very excited about fostering his segue into film directing with this collaboration." Cruz commented further, "It’s the perfect creative partnership. Leif Gobo has 12 years of technical expertise as an editor and videographer.
We clicked on the set of 'Limits', a Mustang project Gobo directed to critical acclaim. We met and immediately had the same vision for a line of films that make a return to the basics of good porn – the chemistry of hot sex. From the start it just felt right. I am eager to learn from his technical expertise and collaborate ideas."

Falcon Entertainment's Director of Production Adam Q. Robinson and Troy Prickett Director of Promotion jointly commented, "The sexually charged energy and meticulous attention to detail of Steve Cruz coupled with the talented technical and videography expertise of Leif Gobo make for a perfect fit within our ongoing 'guest director' program. We are incredibly excited by their passion, creative energy, combined industry experience and commitment to this project. Their talents will be evident when 'Blue Movie'[2008] is released in December of 2008. We look forward to an on-going relationship with this talented team."
This is of course part of the re-branding that Falcon Entertainment is going through and with the solid reputation that Falcon Entertainment has, there's no doubt that the Mustang Label is going to be one production company that is going to be delivering stiff competition for the top spot in America on the JRL Weekly Top 100.
