I was handed this press release from JRL Assistant Editor n' Chief Alberto Baltazar Flores and I was shocked to read what I was given.Effective immediately, legendary distribution center Phoenix Releasing (www.phoenixreleasing.com) announced today that it was no longer offering live order assistance.
Effective immediately all orders will be accepted though online ordering, facsimile and/or direct mail only.
JRL fans, all you'll have to do is click on your order and receive it within days.

According to the marketing division of Phoenix Releasing, they stated that....“Frankly, it’s gotten too expensive to have a live person manning telephones for orders. “We are still one of the last true mail order companies. More than 75% of our business is still done by mail. We send our customers direct mail pieces about every 6 weeks- first class. Our customers appreciate the ability to hold a brochure in their hands.
The spokesperson continued...."Unfortunately, they will be losing the personal touch of our long time Customer Service Manager, Danny. He was there to handle all of our customers needs as well as to take special orders for those looking for hard to get titles that may have either gone to another production house or just aren’t available through other mail order sources. We’re hoping they will still rely on us to try and find these titles for them.”

Last year, Phoenix Releasing updated their web site to offer a far broader catalog of titles and features. The site is considered to be one of the easiest to use for the consumer. According to Phoenix Releasing, the web site is designed for those not familiar with how the commerce of the web works. It’s very easy to navigate.
