MIDNIGHT VIDEO WINS AN APPEAL ON OBSCENITY CHARGES

The owner of Midnight Video in Springfield, MO Robert Crump Jr, has been granted an appeal for obscenity charges brought by the McDonald county. Mr. Crump Jr, has already received two years of unsupervised probation. He was originally found guilty last year of three (3) counts of second degree obscenity charges.
Now that his appeal has been granted, appellate judges have reversed Robert Crump Jr's conviction and has ordered a new trial. Court records obtained by JRL sources, a Southwest Missouri Drug Task Force contacted by a local assistant district attorney to investigate, report and arrest on the site of any violations of obscenity at Midnight Video. 
After investigating Midnight Video for ten (10) months, undercovers had purchased adult xxx movies on three (3) different occassions that they felt were obscene. It was not mentioned if the xxx films were of a gay nature or heterosexual nature.
We'll keep an eye out on this case and will report on it when more info is available. Robert Crump Jr's attorney argued on appeal that a probable cause statement failed to state any facts describing the movies contents. 
The state agreed with the Crump's attorney's request for a new trial. Neither party in this case (the state or the defendant) wants to cause this "Honorable Court", with the workload of reviewing the six hours of "sexually explicit adult material" stated prosecutors in the case.
