Congratulations goes out to all of the nominees who made the list this year. Especially Michael Lucas and his Lucas Entertainment label who managed to capture (7) glbt award nominations.

“This has been a banner year for us,” noted Lucas Entertainment President/CEO Michael Lucas. “I’m proud to see our company and titles honored so well by XBiz.”

Lucas Entertainment is the only gay studio with nominations in the Crossover Star of the Year (Michael Lucas) and Marketing Campaign of the Year (Men of Israel) categories, and is also one of the few studios to receive two nominations in the category of Gay Movie of the Year for Men of Israel [2009] and Wall Street [2009].

Men of Israel received some rare mainstream media attention this year with coverage from Chelsea Lately, the Los Angles Times, and Newsweek. Wall Street, Lucas Entertainment’s 100th release, shocked audiences with its highly controversial all-oral scene featuring Ben Andrews and Rafael Alencar on a late-night subway car.

Lucas Entertainment was nominated in the following categories:

GLBT Company of the Year (Lucas Entertainment)
Gay Studio of the Year (Lucas Entertainment)
Gay Movie of the Year (Men of Israel)
Gay Movie of the Year (Wall Street)
Gay Director of the Year (Michael Lucas & mr. Pam)
Crossover Star of the Year (Michael Lucas)
Marketing Campaign of the Year (Men of Israel)

The 2010 XBIZ Awards (www.xbiz.com) is being held in conjunction with the XBIZ LA Conference, taking place February 9-11 at the Sofitel Hotel in Hollywood, CA.
