The Free Speech Coalition is pleased to express its deep gratitude to HotMovies.com for its one-day fundraising event – FreedomStreams ’08 –which was held April 15th.
This is the third annual FreedomStreams event which accounts now for over $50,000 raised through the generosity of National A-1 Internet (dba, HotMovies.com) and its studios.
FSC would also like to express its profound appreciation to the studios that participated in FreedomStreams ’08. This year’s event is the result of 60 donors, representing 212 brands and studios, participating under the leadership of National A-1 Internet (dba, HotMovies.com). A complete list of participants will be posted on www.freespeechcoalition.com
“We are truly indebted to HotMovies.com for its third consecutive year of fundraising leadership,” said Scott L. Lowther, FSC Director of Membership Services.
“The support of FSC members in helping us to keep up the good fight is essential to our ability to sustain overhead related to our own cost of doing business on behalf of the industry as a whole and, more specifically, our members. When groups of donors and studios band together, each giving a little to create a lot, it’s a win/win for all of us.”
The concept was brilliantly simple: one day (April 15, 2008) was designated during which participating studios donated their HotMovies.com profits to FSC, with HotMovies.com matching the money raised dollar for dollar. The end result was a collaborative partnership that continues to be the largest member-driven fundraising program in FSC’s history.” Said Lowther, “Member generosity and support begets results. We are all in this together.”
“HotMovies is proud to support FSC at this crucial time,” said James Cybert, Director of Business Development. “The Free Speech Coalition always has our back, and it is nothing short of an honor for us to reciprocate.
We’d like to thank all of our participating studios and we encourage all content producers to continue to support FSC in all of their important work.”If you’d like to join forces with FSC and the industry in these political and legal battles, contact FSC at 1-818-348-9373. Every voice counts.
