Flava Works Entertainment informed JRL that it is taking a tougher stance on Internet piracy.

In February, Flava Works initiated lawsuits against two alleged copyright infringes, DGSource.com (a forum) and IStackPorn.net (a blog), and plans to file a series of lawsuits against other alleged infringes in the future, to put an end to the rampant stealing of its and as well as other adult companies’ copyrighted material.

For too long, tube, torrent and one-click hosting sites, along with the miscreants that run and use them, have been pilfering the coffers of hard working adult entertainment companies and the time has come to draw a line in the sand.

Until recently, only a handful of adult content producers have bothered to take serious legal action against these blatant infringes. Today, Flava Works has declared that it will be joining the ranks of these brave and committed few, while encouraging others to follow suit, so that we may hopefully all join forces soon to shut these pirates down for good.

The first two cases on Flava Works’ agenda involve the defendants DGSource.com and IStackPorn.net. Flava Works claims that DGSource.com, by providing a specialized framework through which infringement can take place, is just as culpable for the infringement as the individual users posting, uploading or linking to the copyrighted works.

Also, Flava Works claims the individual behind IStackPorn.net has created a massive network of infringement through the use of social networking sites, like Twitter and Face book, as well as his own blogs, and is providing this material for free, acting as a sort of Messiah to his greedy (non-paying) followers.

Flava Works is confident that after taking down these two defendants, the rest will fall like dominos. Flava Works is so adamant in its resolve to finally shut the door on piracy that it has hired a full-time attorney to serve as its in-house counsel solely for that purpose, Chicago attorney Jesse Lanshe.

“We spend countless hours producing our high quality products. We’re not in the business of having pirates reap the benefits of what we have sown" said Flava Works’ CEO Phillip Bleicher. "We're getting tired of being taken advantage of and this blatant disregard for the law has to stop.

We've just opened the door to a fight that's not going to go away anytime soon. We're in it for the long haul and we're not going to stop until we get back what's rightfully ours; our content."

A customer of Flava Works’ web site recently stumbled onto a web site that is profiting from infringement. The customer simply stated, “It is unfair that an honest consumer, like me, has to pay to enjoy services, such as Cocodorm.com, while [the Pirates] [are] ripping everyone else off.”

Flava Works will continue to fight and takedown anyone who steals our content.
So Pirates, beware.

JRL will continue to stay on top of these piracy cases so that you know who's doing what to whom and how we as an industry are going to fix it.
