FLAVAWORKS ANNOUNCES SELF-DISTRIBUTION

Miami, FL based Flava Works, Inc., known for their popular Dorm Life and Thugboy gay black DVD series, leaves 1 Distribution as their exclusive distributor in order to self-distribute. “We grew to a point where it just makes sense to distribute ourselves” says chief operating officer Dekenric Wiley, “We have a very recognizable brand, cross promoting our websites, with DVDs and magazines and doing a lot of promotions in clubs and at events. Self-distributing will only help us to reach even more people and enable us to give more personalized attention to individual stores.”

Ramping up for self distribution has been long in the making for FlavaWorks, Inc. Last year the company acquired new warehouse and office space in Miami to house the distribution channel. FlavaWorks also employed the help of veteran sales man Jeff Fisher, who had an illustrious 35 year career in mainstream sales and now serves as the company’s national sales director.

The FlavaWorks catalog includes over 32 gay Black and Latin DVD titles, including the recently GAYVN nominated “Chino’s Dorm”. A new DVD is released every month.
