GRAND RE-OPENING CHARITY EVENT!
"Just when you thought your opening couldn’t get any bigger!"

Drake’s Grand Re-Opening Charity Event is a catered affair featuring celebrity signings, two bands, 15 performers, raffle prizes, giveaways and catering supplied by Andrea Powell of Venice. 5% of all sales on both Friday and Saturday will be donated to Women’s Care Cottage - a local charity that benefits homeless women and children.

Women’s Care Cottage is a 501(c)3 organization that has been assisiting homeless
families for over 20 years.

It’s mission is to help move women and children off the streets permanently and succeed independently in their homes, schools, communities and workplaces. Drake’s Melrose
will also serve as a drop-off location for any donations people might want to give to this worthy organization.

To celebrate this dramatic change, the new management decided to make a dramatic state-ment with their Grand Re-Opening Charity Event.

A full day of special, adult-themed events will take place at the Drake’s Melrose location from Noon to Midnight on Saturday, August 25th, 2007.

Celebrity signings, Body Painting, an art gallery installation featuring the work of graphic novelist Michael Manning, raffle prizes and free giveaways will culminate in a stage show at 8pm highlighting Drake’s new Private Party and Fetish Room.

Featured Performers : Prince Poppycock, Damienne, Toy Surprise, Rebecca Gray, Discount Cruise to Hell, Danny Shorago (The Fuxedos), Mistress Anna Valentina, Courtney Cruz, Satanica and 10 West.


Evening to be hosted by Sister Unity of The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence culminating
in a blessing by the Sisters themselves.

Featured Bands : The Glowering Eyes and the Red Light District.
