DIRECTOR RUFUS FFOULKES CONVICTED IN U.K. FOR USING 16-YEAR OLD IN GAY XXX FILM

Last week, director Rufus Floulkes was convicted in the United Kingdom for "enticing a child into pornography.” He was sentenced last week to a term of two years and 11 months.
The film that Rufus Floukes was convicted over was the Puppy Productions release entitled Royal Raw Auditions 1 [2005]. Retailers, webmasters, wholesale distributors and mailorder houses must move to pull this feature from your shelves.
Puppy Productions has issued an alert to pull this feature from all outlets both in America and overseas. Ffoulkes recruited his performers through the popular gay personals website, Gaydar.com.

Last year, a young model he’d recruited brought the then 16-year-old with him to his audition. Ffoulkes then paid the minor teenager to take part in a photo shoot, and later directed him in the xxx gay feature film Royal Raw Auditions 1 [2005].
Thomas Bjorn of Puppy Productions also stated that all of the other productions that Ffoulkes was responsible for are not in question. Puppy Productions has all of the documentation needed for those films under the U.S. 2257 Regulations.
Wholesale distributors and retailers, please double check your stock for Ffoulkes features so that you do not have any concerns over stock.

The entire event kicked off In May of 2007 when Thomas Bjorn received a call from Ffoulkes about “Harry” in “Royal Raw Auditions 1.[2005]. They pulled the movie from the Puppy Productions web site, checked the documentation and after reviewing the records, everything appeared to be in compliance.
Some time later, Thomas Bjorn received notificatoin from the police department in Suffolk, England, about the same underage performer.
Thomas Bjorn immediately cooperated with law enforcement, but explained that he would need a subpoena to allow them access to their U.S. 2257 Compliance records. He was informed that the San Diego authorities would be in contact with him in regards to this case. No one from San Diego County every contact Mr. Bjorn or Puppy Productions and by December [2007], Royal Raw Auditions 1 [2005] was again made available for sale.

In late January, Ffoulkes assured Bjorn that everything was in order and that there was nothing to be concerned about. Then everything changed! During a subsequent phone call from Ffoulkes, he explained that he had in fact pleaded guilty “to the charge of using an underage model with the understanding that it be stated he was unaware [the model] was only 16, since he provided his passport.”
Puppy Productions again pulled “Royal Raw Auditions 1” and sent out a bulletin to all of their retailers as well as distributors and VOD sites, advising them to pull Royal Raw Auditions 1 [2005].
The incident began when another porn performer, identified as “Richard” — the 16-year-old’s friend — got a bad check from Ffoulkes. While making his statement to police, he mentioned that he took his friend “Harry” to the set.

Over a three-month period back in 2005, Rufus Ffoulkus either paid models with bad checks or didn’t pay them at all, according to Bjorn. “After I was made aware of this situation, I called him, we discussed the matter and he assured me that the models would be taken care of immediately.”..stated Bjorn.
This is surely a major issue that should be taken seriously. Producers as well as directors must make sure that the performers they are working with are who they say they are. Unfortunately there is no such thing as a background check in gay porn but something has to be done in the future to both protect the producer and the model.
