DA VINCI LOAD 2 FINISHED PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHY BARELY!
By: Keith Witchka, Staff Writer

Fort Lauderdale, FL - Da Vinci Load 2: Electric Twinkaloo finished principal photography last weekend after a tumultuous month of production in Fort Lauderdale.

DL2 is the obligatory sequel to the surprise hit, “The Da Vinci Load,” which is up for four 2007 GayVn Awards, putting the fledgling company PZP Productions on the proverbial map. Peter Z Pan, a.k.a. Peter Zaragoza, who received a fifth nomination this year for “BeTwinked," directed it.

“From the very beginning this production was riddled with drama,” admits a production assistant who prefers to remain nameless. From everyone’s account, it was the unpredictable demeanor of the star from the first movie that was the genesis of this drama. The same production assistant went on to say, “The ‘actor’ showed up on a mood-altering substance, he couldn't perform, he was belligerent and nasty, and came VERY close to physically attacking Peter.” The PA continued: “We lost our main location, not to mention a ton of money in usable video, due to this person’s unprofessional actions. Add to that Peter had a 103 fever throughout most of the shoot, and you have a recipe for disaster.”

“There was war, pestilence, famine, and a violent diva on steroids,” quipped the exhausted director, who still seems to have a sense of humor. “While the entire adult industry was partying it up in Vegas the first weekend in January, I decided to instead begin shooting DL2 that weekend….I thought it would be nice and quit.” The rotund Zaragoza suddenly let out a loud laugh, “Nice and quit?! It was like a Tupperware Party at Bobby & Whitney’s!…It was whack!”

Zaragoza added that the “incident on set” instantly became a huge game of telephone on the industry, Gay blogs and gossip sites. “By the time my good friend Rocky from Eon Films called me to find out how I was doing, he had heard that I had been hit and hospitalized,” said an amused Zaragoza.

“I was over it!” said Zaragoza, for the first time serious. Then he got home and saw the 2007 nominations online. “I just started bawling like a baby for a good fifteen minutes,” admits Zaragoza. “I had just had my worst day in the adult industry, I was ready to quit, and these acknowledgements for my work just put me over the top. My poor mother was knocking on my door because she thought I had lost it!” He made a face and whispered: “ I know we’re not supposed to care about awards,” now loader, “but damn it, it was the fucking nominations that gave me the drive to go back to work and finish the goddamn movie!” He let out another loud laugh, “Yes, I’m an awards whore!!!”

After taking a week off, PZP went back into production with new star Casey Wood, the horse-hung beach boy on the cover of “Pool Boys Fantasies.” Casey used the stage-name Barrett Foss in that movie. “Casey was my salvation,” raved Zaragoza. “He was a true gentle giant and a gentleman. I think he will be very successful in this industry.

DL2 follows the adventures of Special Agent Leo Da Vinci and his sidekick, Special Agent Randy Schlong, as they try to save the world from a nutty Nazi named Colonel Adolf Von Sphincter and four twinks all named Billy O’Reilly, one of whom is the father of the Anti-Christ…Simple enough plot. Distributed by Marina Pacific, this gem will be out just in time for Easter 2007 so make sure to keep it locked into JRL for latest info on Da Vinci Load 2 [2007].
