ATKOL.COM PARTNERS WITH GAYDVD.COM FOR ONLINE RETAIL MARKET

We got word about this merger late afternoon yesterday (Thursday March 20, 2008). Longtime eastcoast retailer and online retailer Atkol.com has joined GayDVD.com as a partner for the sale of hard copy DVD's to the retail market.

ATKOL previously had operated both as a web presence and as a brick-and-mortar store until late last year when the physical storefront closed because of the sale of the building in which it was located. Rather than move to another location, ATKOL owner Jeff Satkin opted to form a partnership with GayDVD.com for sales. GayDVD.com created www.atkol.gaydvd.com, a branded store front which is seamlessly integrated into the ATKOL.com website.
GayDVD.com is jointly owned by Raging Stallion Studios and GunzBlazing.com. The growing retail-only site is one of the anchors of the GunzBlazing affiliate program. www.atkol.gaydvd.com is the first co-branded, "white-label" store fronts that have been rolled out for Gunzblazing partners.
"Gaydvd.com is an awesome DVD sales site" says Brian Randall of Gunzblazing. "It's updated daily with the hottest new gay titles as they are released. Being able to extend a co-branded version of it, with all of its inventory, high shipping and customer standards and paying out up to 40% on sales is a great win-win for both Atkol and ourselves."

ATKOL started in 1988. It's first product was a flavored gel to place on condoms to make them taste better for oral sex - A TASTY KIND OF LOVE (which gives the name ATKOL). A straight title parodying the product was released and was a huge hit.

The company name officially changed to ATKOL and released its first Gay produced film, INEVITABLE LOVE. A few years later the highly successful YOUTHFUL OFFENDERS was also released. Both titles can be seen on ATKOL.TV.
