CRIME WAVE CONTINUES IN SAN DIEGO AS SECOND STORE IS ROBBED

A thief roughed up a female clerk last Wednesday May 26th, 2010 while robbing Adult World located at 3574 University Avenue about 2:30 p.m. PDT in City Heights.

The bandit, a muscular man who appeared to be in his 20s, entered Adult World, 3574 University Ave., onfronted the victim and grabbed her by the head, according to San Diego police.

He then ordered a second worker to hand over cash, SDPD Sgt. Ray Battrick told JRL After that employee complied, the robber grabbed a cell phone off a counter and pushed away the first clerk.

The thief, who was wearing a bandana on his head, fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The worker he assaulted complained of minor neck pain, Battrick said.
