SEX SHOPS RAIDS IN CAIRNS, AUSTRIALIA UNCOVER MAJOR DRUG RING

Police have allegedly found illegal drugs for sale at two far north Queensland adult shops during a raid.

Officers raided two Cairns adult shops and found 57 ampoules of the drug amyl nitrate.

Senior Sergeant Kevin Goan says a man aged in his 50s has been charged with possessing and supplying dangerous drugs.

"We conducted a number of controlled activities using covert police officers who purchased an amount of amyl nitrate from one of the adult shops in Cairns," he said.

"Some follow-up investigations were conducted which culminated in the prosecution of a gentleman in his 50s."

The man is due to appear in court next month.
