4TH ANNUAL BLATINO OASIS AND EROTICA AWARDS

Palm Springs CA - Now in its fourth year and set to take place May 7-10, Blatino Oasis is preparing to welcome men of color from around the world back to Palm Springs for another year of fun in the California desert sun.Producer Joe Hawkins said that his team is ready to show everyone a wonderful time.

"Each year we book two host hotels. Our clothing optional hotel (Canyon Club) is sold out and basically sells out for the following year, almost immediately after our event ends. However, we are very excited that our main host hotel has a new name and has undergone a major renovation."
Hawkins is referring to the Crestline Hotels & Resorts opening of the 410-guestroom Renaissance (Marriott) Palm Springs Hotel. The upscale property, formerly known as the Wyndham Palm Springs, was newly branded a Renaissance after undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation."Guest who may have stayed at this property in previous years, will be amazed at the changes. And although the former hotel was beautiful, the new renovation will blow guest away...total luxury" Hawkins said.
This year's event will be hosted by Chicago based comedian "The Ever Lovin' Sister Quintella - The 87 Year Old Evangelist of Comedy" who has been featured on a number of national television shows to include B.E.T. and has worked with comedians such as Roseanne Barr, Bernie Mack, Monique and Somore to name a few.
Quintella will also present a comical Mother's Day tribute. Events include the annual White Party Welcome, Boxer Briefs Party, Kings Supporting Kings Brunch, Mirage Party, swim-wear/underwear fashion show, strip shows, daytime pool parties and tours.
Event passes officially go on sale February 8, 2010."We encourage people to book now at the Renaissance Marriott because our block of rooms at that property usually goes pretty quickly once we send out our press announcement." Hawkins said.
One major component of the weekend is erotica which includes the 4th Annual Blatino Oasis Erotica Awards (BOEA) ceremony, that will be held at the clothing optional, Canyon Club Hotel. Last year’s 2009 Blatino Erotica Awards (BEA) honorees included actor Marcus Patrick and adult film stars Bobby Blake and Eddie Diaz. The 2010 honorees include; "Lifetime Achievement Award" Ty Lattimore, who has been in the industry for over 13 years and done over 40 films. In addition to being a porn star, Lattimore is a video producer/director and owner of Ty Lattimore Entertainment.
For the second time, "America's Top Top" goes to Castro a.k.a Supreme, "America's Top Bottom" - Shorty J., "Best Porn Star" - Jovonnie, "Best Video Production" - Pitbull Productions, Best Web Content - Dawgpoundusa.com and "Best Erotic Stripper" -Vishus.

The award for "Best New Comer" won't be announced until the day of the awards ceremony.Legendary Los Angeles based author actor, and film director, Stanley Bennett Clay, will be honored for his contribution to black gay/bi erotic literature, which spans over 30 years.
Mr. Clay's new book "Visible Lives: A Tribute To E. Lynn Harris, is co-authored along with James Earl Hardy (2008 honoree) and Terrance Dean, and is due out in May.
