Today, we have one of the hottest european director's of our time in house here on JRL. Please welcome, Mr. Uwe Stoll of BerlinStarFilm.
Keith: JRL fans, from the director who brought you the No.1 gay xxx film hit Playroom [2009] is here!
Keith: Uwe welcome to JRL and thanks for giving JRL the opportunity to chat with you today.

Uwe: Hi Keith, thanks for having me, I am always grateful to be given the opportunity to talk about my Studio and my Movies.
Keith: How did you first get started in this business?
Uwe: I first came into contact with other Producers in 2003. After a period with a lot of experiments, I founded Berlins in 2006 and released my first movie "Outdoor" in 2007.
Keith: The BerlinStar label is a hot label in Europe and is growing here in the United States. What is driving gay consumers to your brand?
Uwe: Thank you, compliments are allways welcome, but it is true though, that BerlinStarFilm is steadily growing, alltough the world is in this economic crisis. The reason for consumers to buy BerlinStarFilm, might be that we show real, "handmade" fetish movies with authentic Guys from "next door" ,so Everybody can identify himself with them. And do not forget about the fact that BerlinStarFilm shows certain fetishes that others don't.
Keith: European gay xxx product has been blowing up here in the United States over the past two years. Up 30% from last year. What do you attribute this to? Models, content or overall marketing?
Uwe: Once again, Keith, it is all about showing hot, real and authentic sex rather than to film supermodels while fucking.
Keith: How did you come up with the concept for the No.1 hit Playroom [2009]?
Uwe: The concept was the following; Most of the Gay Community in Berlin has private Playrooms at home, all of course individually equipt. So being THE Studio in Berlin why not show the world what is really going on! Plus we could have different, very unique locations and we aim to always find very interesting locations.
Keith: Distribution is crucial in marketing gay xxx films. How did you get hooked up with the mega wholesale distribution center XY Distribution of Germany?
Uwe: XY Distribution has grown enormously over the last years. The have a huge range of DVDs, but they where lacking a real fetish studio, so it was kind of obvious to get into contact with us. We got along very well, both businesswise and personally, and today this has proved itself a very fertile cooperation.
Keith: Ducking Weekend [2009] is your brand new feature film now shipping through XY Distribution. What can retailers and gay consumers expect in this one?
Uwe: hot gay xxx sex with Guys 18-25 years of age.
Keith: Who did you cast for Fucking Weekend?
Uwe: As I said before we had loads of younger guys wanting to shoot with us at BerlinStarFilm, so we picked some of the best and produced "Fucking Weekend".
Keith: You've got watersports in Fucking Weekend [2009]. Will this be a problem with certain markets in the states or, are you planning on a massive european push aside from the USA?
Uwe: We are going to do some more Watersports-Movie because it is a very popular Fetish. Our next Release will be "MegaPiss Vol.1"[2009], I think the name speaks for itself.
Keith: You've got, at least here in the states 8 feature films under your belt. @Work [2009], Little George Blows Berlin [2009], OutDoor 2 [2009], OutDoor [2008], plus, you added to your portfolio both RubClub 3 [2008] and RubClub 4 [2009]. What is your goal, 30 Films...100 Films?
Uwe: BerlinStarFilm has in 2008 alone, produced 12 new Movies, and plans are in the works to produce 12 new Movies in 2009.We will be releasing a gay xxx feature film once a month for the fans outthere.
Keith: Will we ever see Uwe Stoll in a major roll in your upcoming feature films?
Uwe: I have tought about that indeed, but decided against it, at least for the moment.

Keith: Will bareback content be a major point in your upcomin features as is watersports?
Uwe: I am not explicitly casting actors for a bareback production at the moment.
