Keith Witchka: Michael thank you for granting JRL this opportunity. This is the first time you've granted JRL an interviewand I am truly honored to have been assigned the task to cover you. Michael,you are known across the globe. From your No.1 hits on the JRL Weekly Top 100 to the hundreds of awards that you have won throughout yourcareer in this business. Have you peaked yet?
Michael Lucas: Time will show. I definitely hope that I haven't reached my peak.
Keith Witchka: Tellyour JRL fans about a few of your latest blockbusters that you are nowshipping nationwide. First off, what was behind the concept ofFlatiron Fuckers [2008]?
Michael Lucas: Actually, it turnedout to be a good all-sex movie with an amazing scene between real lifeboyfriends Brad Star and Angel Skye. There's a deliciously nasty scenebetween Jason Crew and Brant Moore. If you buy the director's cut, youwill see both guys fuck each other on a double headed dildo and ofcourse, a watersports scene. Then there are my two scenes, one withAnthony Marks and Zack Randall. Both were amazing bottoms and I reallyenjoyed working with them.
Keith Witchka: How did you go about casting for Flatiron Fuckers [2008]?
Michael Lucas: I'm constantly receiving a lot of applications through LucasCasting.com and Ialways use reliable models, like Jason Crew and Zack Randall.
Keith Witchka: How did you pare up the models for each scene in Flatiron Fuckers [2008]?
Michael Lucas: I always send guys a questionnaire and then pictures of partners I think will be good for them, based on their responses.
Keith Witchka: Are you finding resistance from retailers for the water sports scene?
Michael Lucas: From some. But I would say 70% of them have no problem with watersports whatsoever. In fact, many retailers request a director's edition with this extra content.
Keith Witchka: One thing I do want to ask you. Yourself and several other studios, mainlyin the European Union, are using the water sports genre in their gay xxx films.
With only certain regions able to carry this form of gayadult entertainment. Do you feel is cost effective to use such a sceneas apposed to using a traditional genre for more outlets to carry the film?
Michael Lucas: I find that I make a lot of money on my mail order and through online streaming. The internet has no borders. That's whereall of the business will be very soon.
Keith Witchka: In Flatiron Fuckers [2008] you chose the sensation Anthony Marks whom ofcourse JRL fans will remember from your mega hit Michael Lucas's Gigolo[2007]. This is his second feature for Lucas Entertainment. Will webe seeing more from him through Lucas Entertainment?
Michael Lucas: He will appear again in Brothers' Reunion with my exclusive, Wilfried Knight.
Keith Witchka: I have to get into Swallow with Pride [2008]. How did you find David Cain, Divko, James Jordan, Brent Moon and Ray Randolf?
Michael Lucas: I have a lot of guys willing to be in my productions on both sides of the Atlantic.
Keith Witchka: I know that you utilize Fabscout Entertainment for models. With the industry changing every day, are you seeing a trend towards mainstream in regards to booking talent for gay xxx productions? Or, do you feel that finding the models on your own is the best way to find new talent for gay consumers who are always craving for new hunks to fantasize over?
Michael Lucas: For me, both works. If I don't have a new, good model, I can always call Howard at FabScout and he will always recommend what I need. I've worked with Howard for many years and he's a very reliable, consistent source of models. I think half of my models come from FabScout.
Keith Witchka: Now you are using two other new studs in Swallow with Pride [2008],that will be also featured in your Fall Season release entitled Thirsty[2008]. Of course I'm referring to James Jones and Ted Potter. Wheredid these two hunks come from and can we expect even more from themthan Swallow with Pride [2008] and the upcoming Thirsty [2008]?
Michael Lucas: Sure.
Keith Witchka: How do you feel about oral sex (ie., cum swallowing from performers)?
Michael Lucas: I think it's totally safe. It's up to the model.
Keith Witchka: Okay Michael, let's touch on the project that has several staff writers here at JRL excited about. Pounding the Pavement [2008]. The synopsisreads; "Twelve men pound the pavement of New York City in search of their next easy fuck.

To me, this is true ground roots gay mansex in it's best way. What made you think to do a project of this magnitude? Did you know that gay men would respond like rabbits on carrots or were you thinking about going back to old school tactics toget the gay man's eye for sex?
Michael Lucas: You know, I think this is pretty much the style I always produce: hot sex.Sometimes there's more storyline, sometimes less. But the sex is always the same: stimulating and steamy.
Keith Witchka: Rafael Alencar, Erik Grant, Derrick Hanson, Wolf Hudson, Blu Kennedy, ClaudioMartin, Arpad Miklos, Jimmy Trips, Kurt Wild and of course your truly,are starring in Pounding the Pavement [2008]. What can we expect Michael?
Michael Lucas: You can expect to be treated for exhaustion after having jerked off all night from watching my videos.
Keith Witchka: Besides Thirsty [2008] coming this fall from Lucas Entertainment. Tell us about your other exclusive labels that will be releasing gay xxx films this fall through Lucas Distribution.
Michael Lucas: In September, we're launching our first video in the Lucas Raunch line. It's going to be very nasty with hot guys doing things you never thought were possible. You'll be watching things that you didn't know would turn you on until you find a hard-on in your pants. Also, we'll probably film a new video in Fire Island [BUT THIS IS A BIG SECRET!]
Keith Witchka: Not a problem Michael, mums the word here!.....Will Lucas Distribution be focusing on the Lucas Entertainment label as well as acquiring other production labels for the future or, will Lucas Entertainment be the primary brand that Lucas Distribution will be pushing to retail and internet retailers across the globe?
Michael Lucas: I think that most companies are going into self-distribution. Right now we are distributing our own productions and Fierce Dog. I would say, of course, we are mostly concentrating on our own films.
Keith Witchka: One thing I did want to ask you before you left Michael and it's only because a lot of JRL subscribers have written to me to ask you about the sequel to two of your biggest hits over the past year; Gigolo [2007] and Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita[2007]! Will there be sequels to either one of these?
Michael Lucas: No -- you can't make a sequel to any of those movies. In Gigolo, I'm killed at the end. What kind of sequel could you do? I don't believe in the after life.
Keith Witchka: What will be your next mega budget film that is destined to hit mainstream by storm? or is it still on the drawing board?

Michael Lucas: I never try to hit the mainstream, because it's not possible.All my movies are classified as pornographic, with a flare of mainstream.
I would rather say some of my films have a strong, believable, and well-acted storyline. I usually don't like to talk about projects that are in development.
I like to talk about productions that I've already made.
