Jeff Livingston: JRL Fans, I've got the director of all director's chatting with me today on JRL.Do you remember hit sensations such as Tommy in Brazil [2008],the sequels Tommy in Brazil 2 and 3 [2008], Arabian Playhouse 1 and 2 [2007] and my personal favorite classic...The Tail of Thomas- "Best of Brazilians Do It Better 3" [2005].
He is also the director and producer who is responsibe for the current blockbusters currently in retail stores nationwide; Prison Breakers [2008].

Jeff Livingston: Alexander it is so kewl of you to talk with us a bit on JRL today.
Alexander: My honor to be interviewed, Jeff. What a pleasure working with JRL Communications.
Jeff Livingston: Thank you Alexander...You've been extremely busy in production. Latinos [2009] coming out on December 2nd, Blacks on Tommy Lima [2009] now arriving every where around the country....when are you going to take a vacation? or is it all about working to keep the fans happy?
Alexander: Yes I am obligated to release for the 2009-2010 season a new gay porn release every month.My schedule is pretty busy for me to run that kind obligation, but it seems to be working pretty well. As of now I have stuffed enough new titles in the vault to be released every month until January 2011 to make customers, wholesalers and retailers happy.
Jeff Livingston: Talk to me about Blacks on Tommy Lima [2009]. It's your latest hardcore gay porn feature film since the release of your smash hit Rio City Sex [2009] which by the way is currently a Top 20 hit on the JRL Weekly Top 50 Latin Gay chart in the U.S.A. after 8 weeks in release. Tell us about Blacks on Tommy Lima?
Alexander: Tommy Lima was working for my company for a long time. Blacks on Tommy Lima might be the last title where Tommy Lima will be performing for Alexander Pictures. My company and Tommy Lima agreed to take a break for while. My company is becoming more popular with fans of fine black men, so I decided to give a early christmas present to customers to enjoy. Fantasies between hot Black men serving Tommy Lima's hungry mouth and asshole. It turned out to be very hot in many ways.
Jeff Livingston: Adrian Correa, Andre Ferrerira, Josue Otaviano, Pinto Gomez, Rodrigo Bekman, Ruy de Sousa, Vicente Lourenco, and Efrem Paul. Alexander, is it difficult when you have so many gorgeous men on one set...do you have to deal with egos, arogance and the like from your performers?

Alexander: Fortunately most of my models are a pleasure working with. More gorgeous men the merrier. It is not difficult to deal with those models because almost of them came from simple lifestyle, not as much complicated. I treat them very well, so they felt to treat me back fairly well.
Jeff Livingston: You've worked with Tommy Lima for quite some time. Do you feel that he gave you his all in his last performance for you?
Alexander: It was always a pleasure working with Tommy Lima. He was very polite, professional, and a hard working model. I never had any problems with him. He is getting a little bit more "worn out" by time. That's why we both agreed that he needed a break for a while.
Jeff Livingston: Who else in Blacks on Tommy Lima [2009] will be gay fans next mega star and what surprises are gay consumers in store for?
Alexander: Yes Rodrigo Bekmann who performed in Blacks on Tommy Lima [2009] is also Alexander Pictures' primary production assistant. Rodrigo Bekmann and Tommy Lima are very good friends with me. It was a little bit awkward for them to perform on camera, but they proved how professional they are. Also there was Rodrigo Bekmann ex-boyfriend on set who was not comfortable in performing in front of my assistant, so I asked my assistant to leave the production room and I completed the filming myself with my own limited communication with them. Everything turned out great.
Jeff Livingston: Alexander tell us...the economy is finally starting to go into a positive direction. Has been hard on Alexander Pictures' budgets with the economy in such termoil?
Alexander: It was never really hard for Alexander Pictures budget with the economy turmoil, because my company is relatively small in size. Due to a small company not needing to have huge budgets, we were able to adapt and quickly change a few things accordingly.Jeff Livingston: When sales were taking a major hit over the summer season, did VOD make up the difference in terms of immediate revenue as apposed to waiting on your royalty checks to come in from Pulse Distribution?
Alexander: Interestingly, a few years ago many people in the Adult Industry claimed that DVD will die off very soon.
They were proven to be wrong. DVD is still selling very well these days. VOD was supposed to pick up more and more sales, but it doesn't. Personally I prefer to watch movies via DVD in better resolution than via VOD.
When you watch gay porn films online it somehow comes out grainy and takes away from your hardwork that you have put together for your audience base.. Maybe in the future when VOD technology picks up more and more, DVD may eventually go down but for right now, it's not something that I will be parting ways from. That retailers and distributors can take to the bank.

Jeff Livingston: I'm curious as to what is your take on free tube web sites. You have some who feel that it hurts sales because gay consumers can simply go to free tube sites and see hardcore clips and get satisfied. While on the other hand you have studio heads who don't want to get charged a tone of cash for bandwidth on their sites and, they feel that this is a good way to market their brand. What's your take on free tube sites? Good bad or both?
Alexander: I feel that free gay porn is not best for the Gay Adult Industry, but for customers who want free porn. I have known so many friends who claimed that they do not need to buy DVDs or VOD because there are plenty of good content via free porn tubes. But sooner or later I see that free porn surfers get fed up with limited free or poor quality porn, will eventually search for better quality and hopefully turn back to buying better quality DVDs or VOD.
Jeff Livingston: Do you feel that free tube sites are getting a bad wrap? Or do you think they are providing a service that gay consumers want but aren't putting it out the correct way?
Alexander: I understand that free tube sites have their own missions. They want to hook customers up with free limited porn for them to get into paying VOD sites. However there is to much competition of free tube sites and all of them want to offer better hook ups that end up offering more free stuff. That is where the problem with free tube sites starts.
Jeff Livingston: Have you personally found your content on web sites that weren't authorized to have your content on their networks? This is something that a lot of people have been paying attention to lately especially with huge companies getting sued for alledgely taking studios content for their own networks for profit. What are your thoughts on this?Alexander: It is very hard to monitor or control content. It does cost a lot of money and time to control where your material may or may not be showing online. I have experienced some problems with my films but have had them solved by simply witting to the webmaster of those web sites through my attorneys. That's all I have had to do in that situation.
Jeff Livingston: Let's move to another subject....Any body fresh coming out of the Alexander stables in 2010?
Alexander: There are so many fresh models coming out for 2010. More and more interracial and contrasting actions. Customers will definitely love them. I can't wait to share my new discoveries with the gay consumer marketplace.
Jeff Livinston: I'm sure that you are shooting your next blockbuster for the first quarter of 2010 or, are you taking another break during the holiday seasons to re-charge?
Alexander: In Brazil I do work and vacation. I never overwhelm myself with too much work. I believe, that good rest is the best fuel to charge up your body. So work hard and play hard!
Jeff Livingston: Will you be planning any in store promo appearances with the models in the EU, South America, or the United States for Blacks on Tommy Lima [2009]?
Alexander: No. In Store Promo Appearances are very costly. I believe that the DVD cover, title, and reviews will help to promote Blacks on Tommy Lima [2009] with great satisfaction from all of the outlets.
Jeff Livingston: We have a lot of South American gay views Alexander. One thing that is repeatedly emailed to JRL about is how do they contact you to become an Alexander Pictures exclusive model? What's the secrets? and before you answer, they don't want to know about forms, they want to know what is it that Alexander is looking for in a model?

Alexander: I have been in Brazil 19 times as of today. Good reputation, trust, and mouth to mouth sharing are all essential keys to get good contacts with models. There are no such secrets, other than time and patience.
Jeff Livingston: Tell us about your relationship with your exclusive distributor San Fernando Valley based Pulse Distribution? There you share a home with the legendary Falcon Studios, Dink Flamingo's Active Duty Productions, and many more. How's the family at Pulse doing for Alexander?Alexander: Pulse Distribution (www.pulsedistribution.com) is an excellent opportunity for my company to distribute my films to wholesale distributors as well as with retailers within U.S. Territory. I am happy to work closely with Janet and Mark from Pulse Distribution.
Jeff Livingston: Expecting big numbers on Blacks on Tommy Lima [2009]? You should because the boxart alone should draw gay consumers right to it the minute they see it displayed. Are you little nervous about how the gay market is going to take hold of Blacks on Tommy Lima [2009]?
Alexander: I do definitely expect big sales with Blacks on Tommy Lima. I got a good report from Pulse Distribution and from my own web site sales. It's really turning out to be a major success.
